when will it end?

Posted on | September 10, 2008 | No Comments

I keep catching myself telling myself that it will all be ok once the baby is older and I can get some sleep. Like this new state of parenthood is only temporary. But of course the sleepless nights and exhaustion will be going on for a whole lot longer than that and it isn’t going to be like cycling downhill from here on in, as I was reminded when reading an article in The Times today which referred to this new website for the parents of teens. But I’m not quite ready to think about the long term yet – my horizon each morning is the end of the day.

    I have this definition of parenthood that really, we all should have been warned about ;)

    Parenthood = sleep deprivation
