My mum was always a bit stroppy with me but she never got this petty. I think you always have to make the child think that you’re above it – the only way they’ll realise they did something wrong is by being taught it’s immature, not tit-for-tat retaliation.
Bad parenting, in my view. But I’ve never been there so who’s to say I wouldn’t do it myself?
