Suesspicious Minds has beaten me to it again, with a post about a case where The President has decided that it is right to hold a re-hearing of a fact finding following the directed acquittal of the parents in criminal proceedings in relation to the child’s injuries. I agree with his analysis of the law and the prospects – and of how awful this process must be for all involved. I will watch with interest the developments on the reporting front. It does seem a likely candidate for some relatively open reporting – certainly a huge amount of public interest and much already in the public domain.
