Nice

My english teacher forbad the use of the word nice. But it has its place (sorry Mrs Brooks). Primarily on The Fast Show Jazz sketches. But also on a lazy Sunday evening, when I just want to quickly post a one-liner about the nice things that have been said about me and my tweeting. My mum may was crestfallen to hear that I had been shortlisted for an award with no cash prize (“How much do you win?”). Bless. My dad wants an invite to what he evidently envisages will be the legal Oscars. But although a fat cheque would be nice, it isn’t really the point. It IS nice to get positive feedback. Far better than bitching or silence. Darn ham! Is that more than 140 characters?
