They’re not having my pussy! And I am unanimous in that!

It does read a bit like a sitcom. The Times reports today that John Hemming MP’s wife has been caught on CCTV stealing his partner’s kitten. She is charged with burglary. You might be puzzled by how this came to pass. The Times says that “She told police that she had found the door of Ms Cox’s house open and was checking for evidence that she could use in a divorce.” Ah! A Hildebrand cat!

The cat cannot be named in order to protect it’s privacy.

Can we look forward to reading all the gory detail of the ancillary relief proceedings appearing in the press? Mr Hemming will surely not want them to be heard in secret. And more importantly who will be his McKenzie?

Tragically the cat appears not to have been seen since. Behaviour it would be inequitable to disregard?

I think it has been sent to Ireland to avoid the litter being snatched by veterinary services.

I was also desperately worried for the kitten when I read this story (although the rest of it did make me smirk most unattractively)

Given that there were 2 sibling kittens, one male, one female, and only the female kitten was taken, it seems that there may be possible remedies for Abduction and Forced Marriage?

I suspect said kitten may have taken matters into her own paws and realised she did not wish to be associated with these people?!

It worked for me (should I actually say that?). Two QC’s employed to argue about the custody of two dogs. Money to burn!

Perhaps the missing cat was acquired by an illegal immigrant…
